California Rural Legal Assistance (CRLA) was founded in 1966 as a nonprofit legal services program. Our mission is to strive for economic justice and human rights on behalf of California's rural poor. Today, CRLA has 21 offices, many in rural communities from the Mexican border to Northern California.

OneJustice has been working to expand legal help for Californians in need for more than 30 years.
In 1979, law students from Hastings founded the Public Interest Clearinghouse in response to a growing need to support those interested in using their legal skills in the nonprofit or government sectors. In 2010, the Board of Directors determined that the organization needed a new name to better communicate the value of its work. The Board chose the name OneJustice, symbolizing a commitment to one justice system that works equally for all.

California Rural Legal Assistance Foundation (CRLAF) is a statewide non-profit organization providing legal services and policy advocacy for California’s rural poor. CRLAF focuses on some of the most marginalized communities: the unrepresented, the unorganized and the undocumented. CRLAF engages in impact litigation, community education and outreach, legislative and administrative advocacy, and provide public policy leadership on the state and local levels in the areas of labor, housing, education, health, worker safety, pesticides, citizenship, immigration, and environmental justice. CRLAF seeks to bring social justice to rural poor communities in all of California.

The Rural Assistance Center (RAC) is a product of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services’ Rural Initiative, the Rural Assistance Center (RAC) was established in December 2002 as a rural health and human services "information portal." RAC helps rural communities and other rural stakeholders access the full range of available programs, funding, and research that can enable them to provide quality health and human services to rural residents.
